This Father's Day weekend features BBQ cookouts for dad, concerts and as well as special ceremonies to honor Juneteenth.
Here are some things to do this weekend:

New Britain Museum of American Art is hosting its 21st annual Juneteenth celebration, featuring drumming, dancing and poetry on Saturday.

Spring Hill Arts Gathering, also known as SHAG, has shared its lineup for the 2022 festival, set for June 16-19.
The live event brings together performers like Deborah Cox and Betty Who with artists like Edgar Heap of Birds and Jaune Quick-to-See Smith to celebrate nature and creativity. It runs at the Spring Hill Vineyards all weekend.

The New Haven Museum will host the founder and executive director of the Witness Stones Project at the Pardee-Morris House on Sunday, June 19 to share the lives of Pink and Stepna, who were both enslaved and are now memorialized at the site from noon to 2:30 p.m.
This event recognizes Juneteenth by honoring the lives of two enslaved individuals at the Pardee-Morris House on Sunday.

This faire recreates an old-world spring festival filled with jousting knights, combat and circus-style performers at the Harwinton Fairgrounds. This weekend's theme is Vikings, barbarians and other medieval hordes.

Strawberrys
This festival features strawberry creations including cakes, ice cream and jams, as well as a petting farm and live music. It takes place at Lyman Orchards on Saturday.

Quassy Amusement & Waterpark
Quassy Amusement & Waterpark is inviting guests to enjoy three different types of chicken wings as well as the rides the park has to offer on Friday.

Splash pads across the state have turned their sprinklers on and offer a way for kids to cool down for free.

Norwalk's Maritime Aquarium will open a new butterfly exhibit on May 28. The "Flutter Zone," is a walk-through exhibit in a floral habitat on the aquarium's riverfront courtyard.
The Maritime Aquarium will be hosting a habitat filled with colorful butterflies that guests can walk through. The "Flutter Zone" will be available until Sept. 5.

Work continues on construction projects and the roof repairs at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum on Monday August 27, 2018 in Norwalk Conn.

Mashamoquet Brook State Park, Pomfret
This program aims to connect visitors to the waters, lands and trails throughout The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor. It runs at The Last Green Valley until the Summer Solstice on June 21.
