Girls basketball: Trumbull Eagles qualify for FCIAC tourney

The Trumbull High girls basketball program improved to 15-1 overall and 11-1 in the FCIAC with a 47-24 home win versus Greenwich on Tuesday night. St. Joseph defeated Greenwich High, 57-46, in Trumbull on Thursday. Coach Chris Lindwall’s Cadets used a 17-3 edge in the second quarter to earn the victory. Rahmia Johnston scored 15 points.
