The Trumbull Pisces defeated the Madison Marlins, 380-252, on Saturday evening at Hillcrest Middle School pool.

The Pisces are 3-0 in Yankee League competition.

They earlier had commanding wins over the Newtown Torpedoes (388-207) and perennial powerhouse Watertown Warriors (408-233).

The Pisces squad looks fast across the board with strong swimmers and relay teams in all age groups from the boys and girls in the 8Us all the way up through the 15 and overs.

Coach Bill Strickland’s team has been working hard five days a week since mid-September.

Over the next couple weekends, Trumbull has two of their toughest tests of the season with the New Milford Barracudas and the Bristol Splash.

Both swim meets will be held at Hillcrest Pool and will determine the Yankee League regular season champions.

The Pisces will then turn their focus to the championship season with Yankee League finals on Feb. 23 and the Connecticut State Championships in March.
