Opening Day ceremonies for Trumbull Little League (TLL) will be held this coming Sunday, April 17, at Trumbull’s Unity Park Complex on White Plains Road.

The event begins at 2 p.m. and marks the official start of the 2016 season for TLL, home of the 1989 Little League World Series champions.

To commemorate the occasion, TLL has a full slate of planned guests, events and attractions to celebrate the season’s start.

The ceremonial first pitch to be thrown out by honorary guest of TLL.

Trumbull First Selectman Tim Herbst, as well as other local dignitaries, will be on on hand.

TLL’s 12-Year old players will be honored in a graduation ceremony for their years of hard work.

B.B., the official mascot of the Bluefish, will be in attendance to celebrate alongside TLL players.

Free popcorn and cotton candy for all attendees.

Opening Day games for TLL’s U10 and U12 Divisions before and after the ceremony, will take place across all five Unity Park fields.
