The Trumbull Babe Ruth Travel Xtreme 13U fall baseball team captured the East Shore ELITE Division championship on Sunday, Oct. 30.
Head coach Tim Tvardzik’s club finished the regular season with an 11-3 record and was the No. 2 seed entering the playoffs.
Due to the rain, Trumbull was forced to play three games in one day to win the title.
Trumbull defeated seventh-seeded The Clubhouse, 4-1, then advanced to beat CT Grind, 7-1, in the semifinal.
Advancing to the title game, Trumbull culminated the day with a 12-7 victory over the North Haven Indians to capture the championship.
