The Trumbull Babe Ruth 13-year-old All-Star team captured the District 2 championship last weekend at Unity Park in Trumbull, by defeating Stratford in a best-of-three series 2-0.

Trumbull defeated Stratford in the first game on Saturday by a score of 15-2 and on Sunday 13-7.

Trumbull advances to the state tournament in Norwalk starting on July 8.
