Craddock captures eight gold medals

Kari Craddock, age 9, from Trumbull, won eight gold medals and set a national record in the discus throw at the National Junior Disability Championships in Rochester, Minn. from July 7-12. Craddock, who is a member of the Cruisers Wheelchair Track and Field team sponsored by the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, received gold medals in the 60 meter, 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m, as well as the discus, javelin and shot put.
