Tashua Nine Holers held a Pink Ball Tournament on Sept. 28 for the benefit of the Cingari Family Boutique at Smilow Cancer Hospital, Yale-New Haven.

The fund was created to assist those patients who are uninsured, underinsured or who need financial assistance with the necessary funds to help purchase anything needed to help them to feel better as they undergo cancer treatment.

The boutique stocks wigs, skin care products, and specialized clothing, products which are costly, but play a vital part in helping them to cope emotionally.

Tashua golfers collected donations in the clubhouse throughout the morning's tournament, and raised over a thousand dollars to support their cause.

The public is invited to participate at any time in this endeavor by donating to The Cingari Family Boutique At Smilow Cancer Hospital, Yale-New Haven Hospital, PO Box 1849, New Haven, CT 06508-9979.

Tashua Knolls Nine Holers is comprised of members not only from Trumbull, but many surrounding towns from Fairfield to Newtown. They are a nonprofit organization.
