Race tightening up in both leagues

The Tashua Knolls Senior Men’s Club results as of Feb. 26 at the Nutmeg Lanes for the Tuesday Bowling League finds Team 2 (Wilfried Meier, Dominic Ferranti, Dave Martini and John Verdeschi) tied for first place with Team 13 (Peter Faustine, Bob Thompson, Sam Cicalo and Gerry Condone).

The high scratch single was by Matty Martiro at 235 and the three game series with 627 to Carl Bluestein.

The single game with handicap was Mario Briganti at 276 and the series with handicap was Bluestein at 669.

The season high average is Bluestein at 186.

The Friday Men’s League on March 1 has Team 11 (Chet Grygorcewicz, Bob Vagnini, Vito Aloisio, Paul Schuerlein and Art Pranger) now in first place by two points.

The high single scratch was Bluestein at 251 and he also leads the three game series with a 623.

The high single with handicap went to Mingo Dacosta at 262 and the series to Bob Tomasko with 659.

Bluestein is the league’s high average at 193.
