Johnny Hurduc and Eugene Dolgovykh are joining the veteran Trumbull Racquet Club teaching staff, led by Director of Tennis Charles Akinloye.

Hurduc, a Romanian talent, isn’t a stranger to Fairfield County. He joins Trumbull Racquet having taught most recently at Trumbull’s sister club, Kings Highway Tennis Club, in Darien. Prior to his time at Kings Highway, Hurduc was the development coach at Intensity in Norwalk, Head Tennis Professional at Cherry Valley Club in Garden City, N.Y. and Weston Field Club, Weston.

Hurduc graduated from South Carolina State University, where he was voted Most Valuable Player, Conference Player of the Year, and played on two MEAC Championship teams. Hurduc has coached at the highest level for Aline Jidkova, who was previously ranked #51 on the WTA Tour.

Dolgovykh is a 2012 graduate of University of Central Florida. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business and was a member of the varsity tennis team throughout his four years.

Most recently, Dolgovykh was the Men’s Coordinator and Tennis Professional at the New Canaan Field Club and he has also been a private coach in Orlando, Florida.

“Both Johnny and Eugene are outstanding additions to our Club,” said Ginny Dragone, manager of Trumbull Racquet Club. “They are highly skilled and accomplished tennis players and coaches. We feel very fortunate that they have joined Trumbull Racquet Club’s teaching staff. They will be great additions.”
