Golf: Tashua Knolls Nine Holer celebrate 40th anniversary

The Tashua Knolls Nine Holers celebrated its 40th anniversary of golf at Tashua Knolls during the recent Member/Member Tournament.

Sue Phannkuch and Barbara Saunders co-chaired the shotgun event and oversaw the presentation of awards issued for best nine in each flight.

Prizes were also issued for team net and gross.

These are the winners from the league's First Flight:

First Place Low Gross Team: Karen Daly and Eileen Jesson (43)

Second Place Low Gross Team: Meredith Chamberlain and Carole Sussi (46)

First Place Low Net Team: Peggy Gettig and Pat Milot (29)

Second Place Low Net Team: Joyce Flanagan and Gail D'Elia (31)

In the Second Flight, the following teams place:

First Place Low Gross: Barbara Brennan and Sue Pfannkuch (52)

Second Place Low Gross: Lisa Laudano and Jean Hall (52)

First Place Low Net: Shirley Pollack and Kathy Winton (33)

Second Place Low Net: Linda DeLuca and Marge Tuccio (33)

Third Flight winners were:

First Place Low Gross: Liz Cook and Sue Thommen (54)

Second Place Low Gross: Nancy McCain and Barbara McHugh (57)

First Place Low Net: Ellen Humphrey and Ellen Garvey (32)

Second Place Low Net: Barbara Saunders and Elinor Therriault (34)

Pat Milot and Sue Pfannkuch won prizes for drives closest to the line on the front and back nine respectively, while Eileen Jesson and Liz Cook drove closest to the pin on the front and back.

Jesson and her partner, Karen Daly, were further recognized with the engraving of their names on the club trophy for attaining the lowest net score.
