A world class athlete and wilderness adventurer, Pharr has written several books, her latest, Called Again, chronicles her record-breaking Appalachian Trail hike (47 miles per day for 46 days) and has been called, “an inspired exploration of the meaning of commitment,” by Kirkus Reviews. She has been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post, NPR’s Talk of the Nation, The Daily Beast, and the CBS Early Show.

Refreshments and giveaways at the event will be provided by Denali, Trumbull’s new outdoor sports store. A representative from the store will be available to answer questions about equipment, information about local hikes, etc.
