The Trumbull American Legion team defeated Wilton 6-1 and 1-0 in a doubleheader sweep on Saturday at Wilton High School.

In game one, Brian Hnatuk worked into the seventh inning to pick up the victory, improving to 5-1 overall.

Simon Whiteman went 3-for-4, with a triple, double, and three runs scored. Dustin Siqueira had a pair of RBIs. Hnatuk struck out six batters.

For Wilton, Collin Kahal has two hits, including a double, and Jackson Ward had two hits.

Danny Keckler threw a complete-game two-hitter, striking out nine, for Trumbull (21-4) in the second-game triumph.

Siqueira's single to center field drove in Whiteman, who singled to start the game. Andrew Lojko had two hits.

Ward, Matt D'Elisa and Jack DiNanno had the hits for Wilton (14-8). Ben Rusin threw a complete-game four-hitter.
