The Trumbull Eagles posted a FCIAC girls track win over Wilton High and was edged by Greenwich High by less than two points on Senior Night at McDougall Stadium on May 11. The team got together after the meet with desserts, gifts and postors honoring their senior members. Coach Jim McCaffrey said, \u201cThese seniors represent the growth of our program. In their freshman year we had 62 athletes \u2014 this year as they graduate we have 123 competitors. This is due in large part to their effort and I want to thank them for that.\u201d The following girls finished in the top three for Trumbull: 100 hurdles: Bhavya Bhushan 18.5, Brook Shafer 18.9 and Alyssa Centopani; 100: Haley Mocker 13.4, Erica Woolen 13.6 and Lianne Iassogna 13.8; 1600: Katelynn Romanchick 5:27:03, Sydney Adams 5:38.29 and Ashley Storino 5:39.37; 300 hurdles: Alyssa Centopani 52.7, Sara Carlson 56.1 and Abigail Johnson 56.5; 400: Gesic Scaccia 62.8, Devin Cuevas 65.6 and Stephine Kodenos 67.8; 200: Haley Mocker 27.7, Erica Woolen 28.2 and Gesica Scaccia 28.9. Also, 3200: Katelynn Romanchick 11:58.39, Sydney Adams 12:08:31 and Krysyna Kryzanski; long jump: Bridget Weston 14-10, Julianne Spillane 14-0.75 and Saran Brinna 13-0.50; triple jump: Gessica Scaccia 31-9.50, Bridget Weston 30-8 and Julie Spillane 29-5.50; pole vault: Sydney Adams 7-0, Lauren Brideau 6-0 and Anea Veilleox 5-6; high jump: Mega Malloy 4-8 Devin Cuevas 4-6 and Megan Switsgable 4-6; shot put: Jamie Marseia 26-7.50, Nicole Bulcer 26-3 and Alyssa Centopani 26-0; discus: Lisa Gianni 87-9.50, Nicole Baker 86-1 and Meghan Malloy 83-2; and javelin: Tara Oliver 103-10, Gabby Misiewicz 90-4 and Chealse Salvatore 83-7.
