The Christian Heritage School girls varsity soccer team won its first game of the 2014 season yesterday against league opponent Harvey by a score of 6-1. The Kingsmen got on the board first and early on a goal from Bella Christian. The girls kept the pressure on Harvey most of the first half and had countless chances. The second goal came from Dana Daconto about 10 minutes before the half. Harvey got one back early in the second half, but the CHS team was just too strong and created too many chances. Christian and Lizzy Barna finished with two goals each and Daconto and Lauren Prangley one apiece. CHS (1-2) plays next at 4 p.m. on Friday in a rare doubleheader, with the boys team playing at the same time both up at Indian Ledge.
