Justin Waldek had two hits, drove in two runs, and stole three bases to lead Trumbull to a 5-2 American Legion Zone IV baseball road victory over Wilton on Sunday.

With the three-game sweep, coach Brett Connors’ Post 141 squad improved to 5-1.

Chris O’Brien got the start and pitched three shutout innings.

Waldek and Peter Rousso each pitched two innings.

Waldek singled and stole two bases, the second leading to an errant throw that gave Trumbull a 1-0 lead in the first.

Waldek singled home Frank Puglia (error) and Frank LaPegna (walk) to up the score to 3-0 in the second.

Zach Sagar’s sacrifice fly scored Simon Whiteman, who had singled in a two-run fifth.

Daniel Mendez singled to keep the rally alive. He scored when Ben McCullough and Dino DiGirolamo reached on errors.

Wilton scored runs in the fifth and sixth innings.

Trumbull begins a three-game series with Ridgefield on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Trumbull High School.
