Tyler Zikias held Westport bats in check and Trumbull Legion scored eight runs in the bottom of the sixth inning when Post 141 completed a three-game sweep with a 10-0 mercy-rule victory at Trumbull High on Thursday.

Zikias (2-0) pitched five innings on three-hit ball with a strikeout and four walks.

Justin Waldek struck out all three batters he faced in the sixth.

Trumbull took a 1-0 lead in the first.

Simon Whiteman led off with a single to center. Dustin Sequeira’s speed turned a sacrifice bunt into a base hit before a double steal put runners at second and third. Matt Fasoli's sacrifice fly to center scored Whiteman.

In the third, Whiteman walked, stole second and scored from second when he never stopped running on Sequeira’s bunt that resulted in a throw to first.

After Westport went to its bullpen, Trumbull walked away with the game on a series of free passes in the sixth. Chris O’Brien had a single and Alex Rauso an RBI double in the frame. Jack Lynch singled in two runs.
