The Trumbull High wrestling team won the 2015 George E. Schmeider Hurricane Memorial Tournament in Rhode Island on Saturday.
Coach Niko Filippakis’ Eagles had 207.5 points to 205.5 for runner-up South Kingston, R.I.
Tristan Haviland (106 pounds), Cross Cannone (132 pounds), Stephen Briganti (160 pounds) and Joey Ryan (170 pounds) took home individual titles.
Cannone was the Outstanding Wrestler in the lower weight classes and Ryan was named the Outstanding Wrestler in the upper weights.
Dante Montanaro (138 pounds) and Steve D’Amato (heavyweight) placed second. Alex Greco (113 pounds) and Adam Angelucci (152 pounds) were third.
