The Trumbull High girls basketball team suffered its first FCIAC loss of the season when it fell to host Danbury High, 48-28, on Jan. 7.
The Hatters (6-1, 4-1 FCIAC) won every period, as the Eagles dropped to 6-2 overall and 5-1 in the FCIAC.
Amanda Pfohl scored nine points and Joyce Woolen eight.
Trumbull defeated Bassick High of Bridgeport, 53-9, on Jan. 10.
Woolen scored 10 points to lead 11 Trumbull players into the scorebook. Dani McGuillicuddy (five assists) and captain Rachel Carron had seven points each.
Trumbull defeated Fairfield Ludlowe, 53-41, in a meeting between FCIAC frontrunners in Fairfield on Jan. 6.
Pfohl scored 21 points behind five 3-pointers, and added eight rebounds and five assists to the cause.
Kate O’Leary had 12 points and eight rebounds to help drop Ludlowe to 6-1.
Nina Vetter scored seven points and Woolen six.
