The Trumbull High girls basketball defeated Career High of New Haven, 55-39, on Thursday night to advance to the Class LL semifinals.

Coach Steve Tobitsch’s third-seeded Eagles (22-3) will play second-seeded Lauralton Hall of Milford (20-1) on Monday at a site and time to be determined.

Lauralton, the SWC champion, defeated seventh-seeded Danbury High, the FCIAC champion, 59-53 in its quarterfinal.

Alexa Pfohl scored 17 points and Erin Moore scored 12 against the sixh-seeded Panthers (22-4), the SCC champions.

Trumbull was 21-for-25 from the foul line to Career’s 6-for-11.
