Hundreds of residents and runners from surrounding towns came out to take part in the Sunset Run 5K, run along the course in the Pinewood Lake area. Residents brought out sprinklers to help keep runners cool and there were plenty of water stops along the way. The event had something for everyone, including face painting and a 1200-meter Kid’s Fun Run. All proceeds from the race help to fund projects in the community.
