Trumbull's Puglia shuts down Norwalk

Frank Puglia won his fourth game without a loss when the Trumbull Post 141 American Legion baseball team defeated visiting Norwalk, 2-1, on Wednesday.

Puglia went the distance, allowed four hits. He didn’t give up an earned run.

Kris DiCocco had two of Trumbull’s five hits and threw out a pair of runners trying to steal.

Simon Whitman, who stole three bases, scored runs for Trumbull (14-4) in the first and fifth inning.

Norwalk (8-9) scored  a run in the fourth inning.
