Trumbull relay team sets record in boys track

The Trumbull High boys track team saw its 110-meter shuttle relay team set a school record at the 35th annual O’Grady Relays in Danbury on April 24.

The relay squad,  consisting of senior Justin Lynch, senior captain Nick Semenza, junior Mick McLeod and anchored by senior captain Andy Gomez, finished third in the event setting record with a time of 1:14:38.

Lynch, Semenza and Gomez took home another third-place medal in the 300-meter hurdle relay with stiff competition in the event out of 29 other teams from around the state.

Trumbull, coached by Nick Banks and Shawn Tait, finished 10th overall.
