The Trumbull High and St. Joseph gymnastics team fared well during the FCIAC championships, which was held at Jonathan Law High School in Milford on Feb. 13.
The Eagles finished with a score of 131.900 to take silver, while the Cadets took 10th overall with 65.100.
Trumbull High’s Natalie Smerling was third in the all-around with a score of 35.050 and won the vaulting competition with 9.200.
St. Joseph was led by Nicole Kirven, who took sixth all around with 33.050.
The Eagles had two more gymnasts in the top 10, as Kate Burns took ninth overall with 32.300. Rounding out the top 10 was Andrea Veilleux, as she scored 32.200.
The overall champion was Darien High, as it won FCIACs for the first time in five years with an overall score of 134.200.
Fairfield Ludlowe finished third with a score of 129.250 while Greenwich came in fourth with 129.50.
In fifth was Wilton with 127.750, sixth Staples of Westport with 123.700, seventh New Canaan with 97.90, eighth Westhill from Stamford with 95.150 and Fairfield Warde was ninth with 90.600.
