Trumbull High’s field hockey team honored its 11 final-year players on Senior Night, then dropped a 4-0 decision to Fairfield Ludlowe on Thursday.

Coach Colleen Filush had all 11 seniors start, which meant one field player would have to suit up to be the goaltender.

Senior captain Brooklyn Cenatiempo, who last played goal in eighth grade, did the honors and stopped both shots she faced before being put into her usual position.

Goaltender Megan McCarthy guarded the cage for most of the evening and made seven saves.

The Eagles generated six penalty corners. Grace Seymour, Jess Lipinski, Lauren Louw, Kayleigh Fleming and Cenatiempo all pressured the Ludlowe goal.

Ludlowe’s Lauren Beccaria scored twice and Grace Murphy and Melissa Bucher also scored.
