Trumbull falls to Ludlowe in FCIAC semifinals

Trumbull High lost to Fairfield Ludlowe, 3-1, in the FCIAC semifinals in Fairfield on Thursday.

Seeded seventh, coach Tamara DeBerry’s Eagles (12-8) took it to the third-seeded Falcons, winning the first set 25-23.

Ludlowe (18-2) won out, 2-14, 25-19, 25-19 to advance to Saturday’s final versus top-seeded Darien High (20-0), a 3-0 winner over fifth-eeded Greenwich High (14-6).

Trumbull was led by Sydney Adams (16 assists,  five digs), Mia Hampford (12 digs, six kills) and Kristen Peterson (14 digs).
