Trumbull High defeated Fairfield Warde, 3-2, in an FCIAC girls volleyball match on Wednesday.

Coach Tamara DeBerry’s Eagles improved to 9-5 overall and 7-5 in the FCIAC by winning the fifth set, 19-17.

Warde took games one and three by matching 26-24 scores.

Trumbull won game two 25-21 and game four 26-24.

The Eagles’ Krystina Schueler had 23 kills, three blocks and four digs.

Julia Roberto had 12 kills, six blocks and four digs.

Becca Lubbert had 20 digs and two kills.

Ally Nielsen had 51 assists, 10 digs and a block.

For Warde, now 9-7, Olivia Parisi had 11 service points and 17 kills.

Clare Sullivan had 41 assists, seven service points and six kills.

Libby McKenna had 13 kills and 20 digs.
