The Trumbull High boys track team improved its record to 8-1 on Monday, defeating Greenwich and Wilton at Greenwich High School.

The contest with Greenwich was especially close, ending in a score of 80-70. The team had an easier time with Wilton,  defeating them 106-44.

Standouts include: sophomore Tyler Gleen who won the 400 with a time of 49.87 and the 200 in 23.3 seconds, senior Nick Semenza, who won the 300 hurdles (43.08), and sophomore Collin McLevy, who won both the long jump and triple jump with jumps of 19-7 and 38-7.

Coach Nick Banks’ Eagles looks to finish strong at their last regular-season meet against Brien McMahon of Norwalk and St. Joseph next Wednesday at St. Joseph.
