The Trumbull High boys track team finished the regular season with wins over St. Joseph (133-17) and Brien McMahon (97-53) bringing their record to 10-1.

“It was a team effort once again, as the team scored in every event, with many of the points coming from the jumping and throws,” Eagles' head coach Nick Banks said.

“The jumpers scored 23 out of a possible 27 points against St. Joe’s and the throwers took home 24 out of 27 to lead the team.”

The jumpers included Jack Jones, Colin McLevy, Kevin Zhang and Connor Klas.

The throwers consisted of Andrew Bont, Ian McLevy, Joe Tivadar, Kyle Marlin, Nick Difabio, Nick Lozinak and Matt Piscitelli.

Other notable performers included: Tyler Gleen in the 400 (50.0), Nick Semenza in the 300 hurdles (44.9), Andy Gomez in the 110 high hurdles (17.75) and Taylor Auten (2:04.1) in the 800.

Banks is excited for FCIAC and state competition, and  is also happy to have many of his top scorers returning for next year.

“When you are able to return six of your top ten scorers for next year, the present looks great, but so does the future,” he said.

The top three scorers included sophomore Colin Mclevy with 118.5 points,  sophomore Gleen with 99 points and senior Semenza with 81.
