Randy Polonia pitched a three-hitter and struck out 12 batters when the Trinity Catholic baseball team rallied past Trumbull High, 3-2, in eight innings on Wednesday in Stamford.
Trumbull, 9-7 overall and 8-6 in the FCIAC, scored two runs in the fifth inning.
Trinity scored runs in the second and sixth frames before sending the winning run across the plate in the eighth.
Tom Costigan and Nick Lupinacci had two hits each for the Crusaders, who won for the third straight game to improve to 11-5.
Alex Rauso singled in both Trumbull runs.
