Track: St. Joseph does well at FCIAC meet

St. Joseph’s Jada Harris and Sophia Jagoe-Seidl earned All-FCIAC honors at the FCIAC Track and Field Championships.

Harris was first in the high jump at 5-4. Ridgefield’s Grace Goodwin was second at 5-0.

Jagoe-Seidl was second in the javelin at 116-6. Reece Schachne from Staples won at 129-11.

The top six in each event medal and the top two finishers in each event qualify for the All-FCIAC team.

Emma LaBash was eighth in the 300 meter hurdles (50.73).

Alexa Cimino, Brenna Hynes, Katie Grennan and Christina Sylvester were 10th in the 4x800 relay (11:02.27).

Olivia Johnson was 22nd in the 400 (1:05.29).

For the boys team, Nick Zannis was 12th in the 800 (2:02.70).

Anthony Crocco, Nick Maltese, Nick Russo and Will Whitlock were 13th in the 4x800 relay (9:23.32).

Mike Zannis, Brendan Clyons, Darren Warren and Jordan Island took 14th in the 4x100 relay (47.06).

Island was 14th in the triple jump (37-11).

Mike Zannis was 25th in the 200 meter dash (24.29).
