Trumbull High’s Kate Romanchick, Charlie Taubl and Chris Alegi earned All-FCIAC honors following fine runs at the FCIAC cross country championships held at New Canaan’s Waveny Park on Oct. 21.

The Trumbull boys team placed fifth overall with a score of 164. Danbury won the team competition, followed by Staples (74), Warde (99) and Ridgefield (131).

The Trumbull girls team took ninth (234). Ridgefield (33), Staples (70), Wilton (90) and Greenwich (99) took the top four spots.

Romanchick took 12th in 15:31 to garner a position on the first team.

Taubl’s time of 16:26 was good for 15th place and a spot on the All-FCIAC first team.

Alegi, a freshman, finished 26th overall in 16:47.74 and made second- team All-FCIAC.

The top 15 finishers make first team; the second 15 second team.

Mitch Vecchione placed 31st overall with a time of 16:57.94.

Jake Cappello was 42nd (17:36.20), Jonathan Tinker 50th (17:46.45), Taylor Auten 54th (17:54.07) and Trevor Rochelle 66th (18:13.79) for an average team time of 17:06.85 on the 5K course.

The Eagles’ girls team average time was 16:57 over the 4K course.

Following Romanchick were Kayley Fasli 42nd (16:49.14), Jillian Ryan 52nd (17:11.37), Margaret LoSchiavo 61st (17:32.92), Victoria Estacio 64th (17:44.91), Valerie Mingrone 71st (17:58.25) and Haley Mocker 72nd (18:10.69).
