Trumbull High fared well at the FCIAC Outdoor Track & Field  Championships in Danbury on May 26.

The THS girls team placed ninth and the boys squad placed 11th out of 16 teams.

The top six in each event earned medals and the top eight finishers earned team points.

Medal winners for the girls included Katelynn Romanchick, who was was fifth in the 1600 with a time of 5:26:54, the 4x100 relay team Haley Moker, Erica Woolen, Devin Coevas and Nicole Canone, who placed fourth with a time of 52:14, Gesica Saccia, who placed fifth in the triple jump at 31-11, and  Tara Oliver, who placed sixth in the javelin throw at 100-06.

Point contributors included Romanchick, who was seventh in the 3200 with a time of 11:48 7, and Lisa Giannini, who was eighth in discus throw at 81-09.

Trumbull medal winners for the boys included Andres Gomez, who was sixth in the 110 meter hurdles in a time of 17:25, Tyler Gleen, who was fifth in a time of 3:30.51, and the 4x800 relay team of Taylor Auten, Dylan McEniry, Nicholas Grew and Gleen, who placed fifth in a time of 8:19:54.

Point contributors included Nicholas Semenza, who was seventh in the 300 hurdles in 43:66, Jack Jones in the long jump, Kyle Marlin, who was seventh in the shot put, and the  4x100 relay team of Markeese Woods, Kevin Oliver, Brian Moccia and  Will Clark in a time of 45:38.
