Trumbull Post 141 went on the road and lost to Stamford, 2-1, in a battle of the top two teams in Zone IV at Cubeta Stadium on Tuesday.

Tim Keckler had three hits, including a double, for Trumbull, which scored in the top of the fourth inning.

Stamford (15-1) won for the ninth straight time after tying the game in the fifth and taking the lead in the sixth.

Trumbull (14-3) saw its nine-game win streak snapped. Stanley Wolpiuk went the distance and allowed eight hits.
