St. Joseph posted a 7-6 victory over Staples/Weston/Shelton in a boys hockey shootout at the Milford Ice Pavilion on Saturday.
The Cadets are now 7-5-1 on the season. SWS is 7-7.
Will Foldesi and Kevin Finn scored goals for St. Joseph in the first period, which ended in a 2-2 tie.
Filippo Petrini scored twice, and Nick DeSabella had the middle goal, when the Cadets won the second period by a 3-1 margin and took a 5-3 lead into the final frame.
SWS scored three times in the first 8:22 of the third period to grab the lead.
Adam Usinger retied the game at 6 at the 9:29 mark and DeSabella gave St. Joseph the lead for good at 10:24.
Dylan Betterson had 25 saves for the Cadets. Zachary Bloom had 25 stops for the Wreckers.
Petrini (two), DiSabella (two), Foldesi (three), Justice Cook and Jack Pisani had the assists for St. Joseph.
