The St. Joseph boys lacrosse team powered its way into the Class S quarterfinal round with a 16-2 victory over Valley Regional on June 4.

Coach Joe Izzo’s eighth-seeded Cadets (12-6) will play top-seeded Lewis Mills (19-0) in Burlington on Saturday at 3 p.m.

St. Joseph took it to ninth-seeded Valley Regional (11-6) from the get-go, leading 4-0 after one period and 10-0 at the half. St. Joseph took a 14-0 lead into the final quarter.

Ryan Corcoran scored four goals and Josiah Wilson and Mike Sudora had two each. Rick Giordano and Chris Klabonski tallied twice. Filippo Petrini and Preston Ouellette also scored.

Jeff Marcantonio, Mike Brennan and Wilson had two assists each and Peter Basher one.

Mike Braddock had three saves and Jack Guman one, as St. Joseph won the shots on goal battle 37-13.
