The St. Joseph High football team went on the road and defeated Wilton High, 49-20, on Friday.
Lars Pedersen caught a 35-yard touchdown pass, ran one in from 16 yards out, and returned a kickoff 88 yards for another score, as coach Joe Della Vecchia’s Cadets improved to 4-1.
Mufasha Abdul Basir had touchdown runs of 31 and 36 yards. Corey Babineau scored on a 1-yard run and threw the TD pass to Pedersen. St. Joseph took a 28-6 lead into the half.
Marc Mrozek was perfect on seven conversion kicks. Wilton is 3-2.
