St. Joseph defeats Trinity Catholic

St. Joseph completed its girls basketball regular season with a 14-6 over record, after coach Chris Lindwall’s Cadets won a 65-51 FCIAC decision over Trinity Catholic in Stamford on Wednesday.

The Cadets, 12-6 in the FCIAC, took a 22-8 lead over the Crusaders in the first quarter. They led 37-18 at the half.

Bridget Sharnick scored 19 points and had 10 rebounds.

Shannon O’Meara scored 14 points, Caitlin Sharnick had six rebounds and Ana DoCarmo had six assists, three steals and six rebounds.

Amy Hurd made six 3-pointers and finished with 20 points for Trinity Catholic (3-17, 3-15 FCIAC).
