The St. Joseph High girls basketball team saw its unbeaten season come to an end on Tuesday, when Stamford High defeated the Cadets, 62-51, in Trumbull.

St. Joseph is 8-1 overall and 6-1 in the FCIAC. Stamford is 9-1, 7-1 FCIAC.

The Cadets led 15-12 after one period, but the Black Knights took a 30-28 lead into the half and was in front 50-40 after three quarters.

Shannon O'Meara scored 20 points and Bridget Sharnick scored 15 points to lead coach Chris Lindwall’s Cadets.

Tiana England had 21 points for Stamford.
