The Trumbull High softball team went on the road and defeated Fairfield Warde, 5-1, on Friday.

Ally Szabo pitched a four-hitter for coach Jacqui Sheftz’ Eagles. She struck out 12 batters.

Sarah Angelo had a two-run single in Trumbull’s three-run fifth-inning rally.

Lea Thompson had two hits, including a triple. She also drove in a run.

Olivia Vadas struck out 12 Eagles and drove in the Mustang’s only run with a sixth-inning triple.
