Kahil Smith was second in the triple jump at 45-04 at the State Open Track and Field Championships in New Britain on June 3.

Steve D’Ascanio tied for the 10th spot in the high jump at 6-0.

Mariah Provenzano, Leah Lewis, Melissa Tkacs and Christine Zangrillo placed 17th in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 51.15 at the Open.

Jada Harris was 23rd in the triple jump at 32-07.25.

St. Joseph boys placed 13th and the girls 16th at the Class M Championships.

Smith captured second in the triple jump at 44-02 and placed seventh in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.64.

D’Ascanio was third in the high jump at 6-2, placed sixth in the 110 hurdles with a time of 16.41, and took eighth in the discus throw (131-01).

Brian Reilly tied for 11th in the high jump (5-10). Carmine Corica was 23rd in the 3200 (10:43.99). Nick Zannis was 29th in the 3200 (11:19.87).

Cadet girls

Provenzano, Lewis, Tkacs and Zangrillo placed second in the 4x100 relay with a time of 51.10 in Class M.

Harris was fourth in the triple jump at 34-01.50 and 24th in the 300 hurdles (53.25).

Megan Kacenski was ninth in the 300 hurdles (50.22).

Christina Sylvester, Kristen Frattaroli, Tkacs and Kacenski were 10th in the 4x400 relay (4:22.28).

Zangrillo was 12th in the 200 (27.54). Lewis was 14th in the 200 (27.99). Tkacs was 14th in the javelin throw (83-08). Carlie Logie was 18th in the 300 hurdles (52.11). Provenzano was 19th in the 200 (28.38).
