Trumbull High placed fourth at the CIAC Class L state gymnastics championships in Southbury on Saturday.

Greenwich (140.425) won the team title, followed by Southington (134.450), Glastonbury (132.950) and Trumbull (131.800).

Natalie Smerling led coach Celina Huber’s Eagles, whose best event was the beam with a team score of 33.750.

Smerling posted an 8.850, Andrea Veilleux a, 8.8, Kate Burns an 8.250 and Miranda Hass a 7.850.

Leading Trumbull on vault were Smerling (9.075), Burns (8.8), Hass (8.125) and Mary DiMartino (8.025).

On bars, the top THS scorers were Smerling (8.3), Burns (8.0), Veilleux (7.9) and Hass (6.45).

In floor exercise, it was Smerling (9.125), Burns (8.750), Hass (8.050) and DiMartino (7.450).
