Ryan puts another Eagle in FCIAC wrestling finals

Trumbull's Joey Ryan, the top seed in the FCIAC wrestling championship's 170-pound class, secured a spot in the championships on Saturday at New Canaan High School. He was the fifth Eagle grappler to win a semifinal match in the tournament.

Ryan beat Matt Adam of Danbury in a 6-4 decision. He'll face No. 2 Lee Stenild Johansen of Fairfield Ludlowe, who beat No. 3 Vasili Nikiforides of Brien McMahon High School in a 10-7 decision.

The FCIAC championships, in all weight classes, is going on all day at New Canaan High School.
