Shane Romanchick and Kate Romanchick placed first for their respective Trumbull High cross country teams in an FCIAC meet at New Canaan’s Waveny Park on Tuesday.

Kate Romanchick finished second overall on the 4K course with a time of 15:54.

Julia Provenzano was fourth overall in 16:33, Emma Soltis was 16th in 17:33, Natalie Faivre 19th in 17:42, Carrie Fotio 21st in 17:47, Jill Ryan 23rd in 17:49, Erin Gillespie 26th in 18:12, Valerie Mingrone 27th in 18;13, Lauren Brideau 32nd in  19:04, Taylor Brown 47th in 19:17, Kelsey McKeon 51st in 19:25, Alyssa Centopani 57th in 19:56, Victoria Estacio 58th in  20:09  and Emma Thorton 66th in 20:57.

Trumbull (6-4) out pointed Danbury and Trinity Catholic-Stamford. They lost to Wilton  New Canaan.

Boys

Trumbull had a strong performance with Shane Romanchick finishing seventh overall on the 5K course with a time of 17:13.

Nick Grew’s 17:16 run was good for eighth overall. Mitch Vecchione  was 17th in 18:11, Jake Cappello 19th in 18:16, Mathew Pryor 22nd in 18;22, Taylor Auten 24th in 18:33, Johnathan Tinker 28th in 18:55, Trevor Rochelle 35th in 19:17, Dylon Koury 37th in 19:19, Mason DeNelo 40th in 19:38, Dan Rouleau 42nd in 19:46, Jack Stachura 49th in 19:49, Thomas Daly 50th in 20:04 and Brendan Butler 56th in 20:23.

The Eagles defeated Wilton and Trinity Catholic. They lost to Danbury and New Canaan.
