Ricky Nistico has enjoyed a four-year career starting as a defenseman on the Southern New Hampshire University men’s lacrosse team, which will play at Bentley in a first round NCAA Division II tournament game on April 29.

Nistico, who started playing with Trumbull Youth Lacrosse, helped St. Joseph of Trumbull to a state championship before moving on to play at Bridgeton Academy Prep (Me.).

This past season for SNHU in the Northeast-10 Conference, Nistico has led a stout defense with nine groundballs, eight turnovers and five forced turnovers.

As a junior, he caused nine turnovers and as a sophomore had eight groundballs and eight forced turnovers. He played in 10 games as a freshman and had seven groundballs and caused three turnovers.

Nistico will graduate on May 10, with a degree in marketing and hopes to coach lacrosse at the youth level.
