Nicholas Moussavian scored on a penalty kick in the 73rd minute to lift the fifth-seeded Trumbull High boys soccer team to a 1-0 road win over No. 4 Fairfield Ludlowe in an FCIAC Tournament quarterfinal game at Taft Field on Thursday night.

Trumbull (11-4-2) will meet No. 8 Danbury High (8-4-5) in the FCIAC semifinals on Monday at 5 p.m. at Taft Field.

The Hatters knocked off top-seeded Ridgefield High, 1-0, in double overtime.

Bryan Guerra scored the go-ahead goal six minutes into the first of two 10-minute overtime sessions.

No. 2 Greenwich (12-4-1) will meet No. 6 Norwalk (10-5-2) in the second semifinal at 7.

The Cardinals defeated No. 7 Staples 2-0.

Norwalk knocked off No. 3 Stamford, 1-0.
