Quincy McKnight scored 31 points and the St. Joseph High boys basketball team defeated Bridgeport Central, 85-81, at the Vito Montelli Gymnasium on Thursday night.

Coach Chris Watts’ third-ranked Cadets improved to 15-1 overall and 13-1 in the FCIAC. Central is now 11-4.

After St. Joseph won a 26-25 first-period shootout, the Cadets doubled their total and went into the half with 50-40 lead. It was 68-60 after three.

Jonny Dzurenda, who made a trio of 3-pointers, scored 20 points and Erick Langston had 13.

Jake Pelletier scored 10 and Raekwon Reid nine.
