The Trumbull Post 141 Senior American Legion baseball team swept a doubleheader from visiting Fairfield, 4-0 and 5-0, on Saturday.
Coach Brett Conner’s team is now 8-2 on the season. It will play host to Greenwich Sunday at 9 a.m. on the back field at Trumbull High.
Tim Keckler pitched a complete-game two-hitter in the second game to match Matt Baccaro’s two-hit gem in the opener.
Trrumbull scored all four runs in the first game in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Mark Hirschbeck, Luke Waldek and Casey Mack had RBIs in the frame.
Baccaro allowed a leadoff single in the first and another hit in the seventh. He didn’t walk a batter and struck out six.
In the nightcap, Brandon Liscinsky had a double and a single, Hirshbeck two singles an RBI and a steal of home, and Waldek a double and two RBIs.
