The Christian Heritage School of Trumbull’s baseball team defeated Chase Collegiate, 6-1, on Monday.

Christian Heritage, now 5-5 on the season, started the scoring in the second with three runs, two of which were on a Tim Vander Have home run.

CHS tacked on insurance runs with one in the fifth and two in the sixth.

The Kingsmen were led by a dominant pitching performance by Stephen Brittin, who allowed only one unearned run over six and two-thirds. He struck out eight and didn’t walk a batter.

Chase dipped to 7-5.
