Former St. Joseph High star James Jennings scored 16 points when the Albertus Magnus College men’s basketball team defeated St. Joseph’s (Maine), 84-49, to win its third consecutive Great Northeast Athletic Conference championship at The Nest in New Haven on Saturday.

The sophomore guard had three assists for the Falcons, who improved to 26-2 with only one loss coming at the hands of a Division III opponent. They have won a nation-leading 41 straight home games.

The Falcons are ranked a program-best No. 14 in the nation. Seeding for the NCAA Tournament will be released Monday.
